Consultations:
The
consultation can be a
single step in which you pull together and polish the
vision you already have in
your head. Or, it can be just the first step in
making the
whole thing happen.
You will spend about ninety minutes with me, Debbi Callander Owner/Design Lead
of Magick Home Makeovers.
We'll talk about
what's not working now and what you have in mind. We will
discuss
ideas and a design plan will form.
After the consultation I will send you a written report
which is several pages of solutions with pictures
and resources.
It may also come with project
quotes if you asked for them.
When going forward with things,
the design plan is a living thing - flexible enough to
change, as decisions change.
Right now my rate for a consultation is $175.00 which is pretty
affordable to
begin with, and by working with me you will likely make it back in
discounts over the course of the project.
3D
Design Drawings: Please
see our Gallery. Not
every project I design for
you to needs to be presented in 3D
drawings. But, there are some compelling reasons to
consider them:
- if
you are not a visual person, it helps so much to see the "virtual"
results. Rendered design drawings are so realistic, they can
sometimes not be told from photographs. They provide a clear
idea
of how your choices can change your space.
- they let you "try on"
different design elements and see how different choices will change the
space differently.
- if you want something custom
that you cannot just find in a catalogue
- if you need help in planning
your lighting - we use a particularly brilliant light
rendering software.
- 3d
drawings to scale with dimensions are very valuable for the trades and
suppliers involved. It keeps everyone on the same
page.
- drawings come in very handy
where permits are required.
- drawings are a useful tool
for monitoring budget. They have a building inventory
feature.

You
can run with the plan in your design report on your own.
Here

build. As a prerequisite to complementary project management, I
only work with my own team. I am dedicated to highest standard of
professionalism and this is how I ensure it. They know their
stuff
and they are committed to excellence.
- You get written quotations on everything. People are
amazed at how prompt and detailed our quotations are.
- We will help you understand how everything will work.
- I make sure the trades and deliveries work on
schedule.
- You get the advantage of all my trade discounts and
trade only sources.
- If I can't buy it for you at the best price, well
then you can always buy it yourself - no obligation.
- My
policy is to share my trade discounts and subcontracted rates with the
client. That is how I stay in business without charging you a
fee
for project management. It is a win/win arrangement since my
involvement means you are still buying below retail.
- When
I manage a project, I act as the client's agent with the trades and
suppliers. If something is wrong, you can call me and I will
undertake the process of making it right.
- You
get multiple guarantees and warrantees on some items. For
instance, each supplier and subcontractor is insured and offers a
warrantee. The invoices all come from Magick Home
Makeovers and we are also insured and warrantee our work.
